TUCSON, Ariz. – Marilyn Myers was appointed to join the membership services staff of the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce as an account executive, president/CEO Jack Camper announced Monday.
Myers will assume responsibility for existing membership accounts and will oversee advertising opportunities for those members and will take on recruitment of new members.
Myers comes to the Chamber following 18 months in property management at Nordstrom Group and several years as an independent contractor with primary focus on legal services. She returned to Tucson in 1998 after spending time in Phoenix.
“I really believe in the focus of the Chamber,” Myers said. “I feel that the Chamber is all about businesses opening doors to the community and making the community as a whole more welcoming, and the Chamber’s work has helped to provide that environment.”
Myers earned an associate’s degree in paralegal studies from Lamson College in Phoenix in 1996.
“Marilyn is a sharp individual with a great attitude, and I believe she will be a great asset to our members and to our Chamber,” Camper said. “Her knowledge of the business community through her work around town is a tremendous asset as we look to enhance our membership services department. I look forward to working with her to improve our service to our members, both current and prospective.”
