Networking

Networking is such an important part of business life. It allows business to connect, learn, and grow. The Chamber offers those opportunities to its members via events, committees, and even staff.

Of course, most are familiar with events strictly organized to facilitate networking among members. The Tucson Chamber offers Power Networking Lunch every other month and Business After Hours At The Chamber every other month. These two events toggle between each other and attract between 100 and 130 attendees each time. Although several events are held throughout the year where there are networking opportunities, these two events are designed to help businesses connect and grow.

Networking does not always mean generation of new sales leads. It also means finding other business people that share your concerns or face similar business issues so forces can join and make a difference. Participation on committees is a great way to make that difference by learning more about the issues at hand. Depending on your interest, you can join one, two, three, or all committees of the Chamber. There are committees regarding local government, state government, transportation, education, business development, as well as special task forces for specific projects.

Chamber staff will always be available to assist members. They regularly meet with local officials, various stakeholders, and numerous community organizations on a range of issues affecting the Tucson metro area. The Chamber has built relationships with diverse organizations and are familiar with their services. These organizations may be specialized and not well known within the general population. Members can be appropriately connected with those groups thus assisting members further their objectives.

Networking opportunities are just that … opportunities. It’s up to the business person to take advantage of them.  Undoubtedly, members can satisfy their networking needs within the Chamber.

Do you hear that?

Opportunity is knocking!!
