September’s Good Morning Tucson was secure What a great morning! Cynthia Hernandez, Federal Security Director-Tucson for Homeland Security, spoke to the group about “Nine-Eleven plus eight”. Sharing the ever changing rules for airport security with the crowd, she explained the reasons for differences between airport security policies as keeping our enemies “off balance”. She also offered a bit of show and tell, holding items left behind at the security checkpoint at TIA. Items like a size 13 black wingtip men’s dress shoe, an item of “supportive” lingerie, and various digital devises. She told the crowd that telling passengers to go to the restroom and remove metal piercings was still embarrassing for her security personnel. But perhaps the high light of the morning was when she “wanded” Fitz. Thankfully, he passed the security check. Click here to see pictures of the event . . .
