New Tucson fire chief named
  Patrick Kelly, former fire chief and emergency management coordinator in DeLand, Fla., was named the new fire chief for the City of Tucson.

Sol Casinos CEO gets extension
  Wendell Long, CEO of Sol Casinos, agreed to a two-year contract extension as head of Pascua Yaqui Gaming Enterprises.

UA hires new cancer surgeon
  Dr. Evan Ong has joined the faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine as professor in the department of surgery, surgical oncology section, as as affiliate with the Arizona Cancer Center.

Handi-Dogs makes new board appointments
  Angela Cordero of JP Morgan Chase, was recently named chairman of the   board for Handi-Dogs, INc., a non-profit organization that helps disabled individuals and seniors train their own dogs to be assistance or certified service dogs.
  Paul Loucks of Mesch, Clark & Rothschild and Beverly Downey, retired dean of the college of undergraduate business and management at the University of Arizona, were also named to the board.

LP&G makes 2 promotions

Governor taps Tucsonsan for legal commission
  Scott Gan, a partner in the Tucson law firm of Mesch, Clark & Rothschild, was appointed to the Commission on Appellate Court Appointments by Gov. Janet Napolitano.
