Global Advantage    The Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce is an integral member of the “Global Advantage” initiative started by the Economic Development Division of the University of Arizona.

Upcoming Save the Date Items:

  • Hong Kong–Foshan: Your Partners for Success in China — You are invited to attend a free half-day seminar and networking lunch on doing business with Hong Kong and China at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Phoenix on Monday, September 17, 2007 as guests of the Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.  At this seminar, along with leading experts from Hong Kong and Foshan speaking about China’s business environment and its abundant econcomic potentials, a panel of local business executives will also share their business experience, success stories and challenges in doing business in China and Hong Kong.  Jan Lesher, the Director of the Arizona Department of Commerce, will be on hand to welcome attendees.

  • Laser Munich 2007 – Summer of 2007.  ADOC will have a pavillion set up at this bi-annual exposition and plans to have at least 8 Arizona optics companies in attendance with hopes of forming alliances and partnerships internationally.  If interested in joining this contingent of businesses or in merely attending the conference, please contact John Grabo (626-2817) for more information.

 

  • 2007 China (Changzhou) International Forum – To be held in Changzhou from September 28 to 30, 2007, this forum will focus on science and technology,  foreign trade, and economic cooperation.  To learn more about this exciting opportunity, contact Ms. Laura Xia at zl_invite@yahoo.com.cn.
