JTED Advisory Committee
The Tucson Chamber has been tasked with heading up BMAS, one of the ten areas within the newly enacted JTED (Joint Technological Educational District). Second only to “Healthcare” in terms of employee shortages in the community, BMAS (Business Management and Administrative Services) encompasses several different disciplines to be taught to our region’s high school students. From Marketing, to Accounting and Bookkeeping, to Finance and Banking, students interested in pursuing a business career will be enrolled in classes for which our committee provides advice. Our function will be to monitor curriculum and educational materials to insure that the things being taught are the things businesses need in their employees.
